Job summary

Artis BioSolutions Nucleic Acids Center of Excellence in Bilbao is seeking a Production Technician to support manufacturing of nucleic acid products and LNPs in a GMP setting. You will execute, monitor and optimize processes across DNA, RNA and LNP platforms, including enzymatic steps and chromatography.

The role involves technology transfer, process validation, and collaboration with the production team in a regulated environment based in Bilbao, Spain.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in manufacturing, process development or related lab/production role.
• Hands-on chromatography, TFF, filtration, formulation or enzymatic processes valued.
• Experience with RNA/DNA and/or LNP tech is advantageous.
• Knowledge of GMP, batch docs and data integrity.
• English B2+ with technical communication ability.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute and monitor manufacturing processes for DNA, RNA and LNP products.
• Operate production equipment and perform first-line troubleshooting.
• Run chromatographic/filtration steps using ÄKTA, KR2i or equivalent systems.
• Review data, detect deviations and trends, and document accordingly.
• Complete batch records and GMP documentation; prepare procedures and work instructions.
• Participate in tech transfer, process validation, optimization and scale-up.
• Support new processes, equipment and technologies and provide production support.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities within GMP environment.

Artis BioSolutions Nucleic Acids Center of Excellence in Bilbao is dedicated to the development and manufacturing of advanced nucleic acid-based products, including RNA, DNA and lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) technologies.

We are looking for a Production Technician to join our team in Bilbao, Spain, supporting the manufacturing of nucleic acid-based products and LNPs in a GMP-regulated environment.

The position will be involved in the execution and monitoring of manufacturing processes across DNA, RNA and LNPs platforms, including enzymatic reactions, chromatographic purification, tangential flow filtration (TFF), filtration and formulation processes, as well as technology transfer, process optimization and scale-up activities.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute and monitor manufacturing processes for DNA, RNA and LNPs-based products, including enzymatic reactions, chromatographic purification, TFF, filtration and formulation operations.
• Operate production equipment and perform first-line troubleshooting.
• Execute chromatographic and filtration processes using systems such as ÄKTA and KR2i or equivalent manufacturing equipment.
• Review process data and identify deviations, trends or unexpected process behavior.
• Complete and review batch manufacturing records and associated GMP documentation.
• Prepare and update batch records, SOPs, manufacturing procedures, work instructions and other GMP production documentation.
• Participate in technology transfers, process validation, process optimization and scale-up activities.
• Support the implementation of new manufacturing processes, equipment and technologies.
• Provide technical support to the production team and contribute to continuous improvement activities.

PROFILE

• Degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, process development or a related laboratory or production environment.
• Hands-on experience with chromatography, TFF, filtration, formulation and/or enzymatic processes will be highly valued.
• Previous experience with RNA, DNA and/or LNP manufacturing technologies will be considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of GMP, batch documentation and data integrity principles.
• English B2 or above, with the ability to communicate effectively in a technical and GMP-regulated environment.
