Job summary

Artis BioSolutions Nucleic Acids Center of Excellence in Bilbao is seeking a Production Operator to support the manufacturing of DNA, RNA and LNP-based products in a GMP-regulated environment. You will work across DNA, RNA and LNP platforms using various production processes and technologies as capabilities expand.

The role requires technical education in biotech or related fields, hands-on experience in production or lab settings, and familiarity with GMP/GDP practices.

Qualifications

• Technical education in laboratory operations, biotechnology, pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical processes or a related field.
• Previous experience in production, laboratory, or biotechnology environments is valued.
• Experience with RNA, DNA, LNPs, molecular biology techniques, chromatography or filtration is advantageous.
• Familiarity with GMP and GDP is valued.
• Ability to follow established procedures and manufacturing instructions accurately.
• English comprehension to understand technical documentation in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform DNA, RNA and LNPs manufacturing operations under supervision, including enzymatic reactions, purification, filtration and product conditioning.
• Prepare buffers, solutions, reagents and materials required for manufacturing activities.
• Operate production and analytical equipment, including chromatography and TFF systems, biosafety cabinets and spectrophotometers.
• Prepare, assemble and operate process equipment and systems.
• Work in controlled environments with contamination control to prevent product contamination and degradation.
• Perform cleaning, preparation and basic maintenance of production equipment and areas.
• Follow SOPs, batch records and work instructions in accordance with GMP requirements.
• Record manufacturing activities with GDP and data integrity in mind.
• Identify and promptly report process deviations or equipment issues.

Artis BioSolutions Nucleic Acids Center of Excellence in Bilbao is dedicated to the development and manufacturing of advanced nucleic acid-based products, including DNA, RNA and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technologies.

We are looking for a Production Operator to join our team in Bilbao, Spain, supporting the manufacturing of nucleic acids and LNPs-based products in a GMP-regulated environment.

The position will support manufacturing activities across DNA, RNA and LNPs platforms, working with different production processes and technologies as our manufacturing capabilities continue to expand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform DNA, RNA and LNPs manufacturing operations under supervision, including enzymatic reactions, purification, filtration, formulation and product conditioning.
• Prepare buffers, solutions, reagents and materials required for manufacturing activities.
• Operate production and analytical equipment, including chromatography and TFF systems, biosafety cabinets, electrophoresis equipment and spectrophotometers.
• Prepare, assemble and operate process equipment and systems.
• Work in controlled environments, applying appropriate contamination control measures to prevent product contamination and degradation.
• Perform cleaning, preparation and basic maintenance of production equipment and areas.
• Follow approved SOPs, batch records and work instructions in accordance with GMP requirements.
• Record manufacturing activities in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and data integrity requirements.
• Identify and promptly report process deviations, equipment issues or unexpected analytical results.

PROFILE

• Technical education in laboratory operations, biotechnology, pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical processes or a related field.
• Previous experience in a production, laboratory or biotechnology environment will be valued.
• Experience with RNA, DNA, LNPs, molecular biology techniques, chromatography, filtration, formulation or bioprocess equipment will be particularly valued.
• Knowledge of GMP and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) will be valued.
• Ability to work accurately following established procedures and manufacturing instructions.
• English level sufficient to understand and follow technical documentation and communicate in a manufacturing environment.
