Descripción del empleo

Planning the production of a range of animal food products on one or more production lines to ensure optimal utilization and timely availability.

An OpCo may have one or multiple production lines or sites. In smaller OpCos, 1 or 2 planners handle all planning activities. In larger OpCos, a specialized group of planners may focus on specific tasks. The role varies from planning a single, simple production line to coordinating multiple lines and external logistics.

Job Responsibilities:

• Check orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify inventory levels of finished products and balance customer and stock orders.
• Arrange production orders considering delivery deadlines, machine capacity, changeover requirements, run sizes, and sequences.
• Calculate needed raw materials and semi-finished goods.
• Verify stock positions and identify procurement shortfalls.
• Prepare and release daily production orders, material vouchers, etc., for production and warehouse teams.
• Monitor daily planning and production, collaborating with management on disruptions and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and product development regarding maintenance, repairs, and trial runs.
• Implement and adapt planning changes, discussing alternatives with superiors and sales teams.
• Ensure proper use of planning software and collaborate on required system enhancements.
• Manage data changes, including customer/specification updates, standards, machine capacities, and packing instructions.
