The successful candidate will manage production processes, ensure quality standards, and lead a team in a dynamic environment. Candidates must hold a relevant degree, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and be fluent in both Spanish and English.

  • Proven experience as a Plant Manager or similar role.

We are currently looking for aProduction Managerto take over a leading position in our plant in Murcia.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Managerto oversee our manufacturing facilities in Spain. This position will be responsible for ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring smooth and efficient production processes.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
  • Monitor and manage plant performance, including production output, quality, and safety metrics.
  • Ability to manage multiple sites with over 100 employees.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production staff, supervisors, and other key personnel.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, productivity, and employee engagement.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and training as needed.
  • Develop strategic relationships with main OEMs in the recycling industry.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all products meet or exceed quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections and audits.
  • Address and resolve any quality issues or customer complaints promptly.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Enforce and adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct safety training and drills for employees.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify areas for improvement in production processes, equipment, and overall plant efficiency.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Drive innovation and stay updated on industry trends and technologies.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage the plant budget, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
  • Optimize resource allocation and manage inventory levels to minimize waste and reduce costs.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Proven experience as a Plant Manager or in a similar managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with Spanish labor laws.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong experience in production planning and raw material supply chain areas.
  • Experienced in project management (New equipment, CAPEX, OPEX, etc.)
  • Data driven mindset, ability to build production reports to define priorities.
  • Familiar with laboratory testing for plastics (DSC, MFI, dirtiness, etc).
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
