Formación

Position Description

QIAGEN is looking for a Production Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team within the Production Engineering department. This engineer works within a manufacturing engineering team and/or a project team - generally under the leadership of a more experienced individual (e.g. senior/principal engineer, manufacturing engineering manager, and/or project manager). This engineer uses experience and education to perform the types of engineering activities which are generally considered within the realm of manufacturing engineering. All tasks will be carried out in a regulated environment under specific health & safety regulations.

Key job and responsibilities:
  • Support in the transfer of products or new equipment from R&D or Engineering to Production.
  • Identify potential risks and mitigations by updating the FMEA, and ensure that the actions or procedures defined are documented in the manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience in document management in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environment.
  • Implement best practices and corrective actions and ensure that manufacturing documentation reflects them.
  • Assist in the Qualification and Validation of manufacturing equipment and processes within an ISO clean room.
  • Experience in Process Engineering or Production Engineering.
  • Experience in Lean or Six Sigma Methodology is a plus.
Position Requirements
  • Background: Engineering or Scientific Degree (Automation, Mechanics, Electronics, Biomedical, Physics) or similar.
  • Experience in Process Engineering or Production Engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and troubleshoot technical issues/equipment.
  • Multi-disciplinary technical knowledge in some of the following areas: PLC programming, HMI development, machine vision, DB, optics, fluidics, heat-management, pneumatics, SolidWorks, machining (e.g. CNC).
  • Good command of English.
  • Experience in development and/or testing of scientific or industrial instrumentation is a plus.
  • Experience in InVitroDiagnostics (IVD), knowledge of regulatory requirements (IVDD 98/79/EC, ISO 13485, IEC 62304), and experience in Project Management are a plus.
  • Experience in Lean or Six Sigma Methodology is a plus.
