As a Payment Product Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our company's payment processes. Your responsibilities include managing supplier relationships, overseeing documentation, ensuring compliance, and executing payment operations. You will serve as a key link between business units, product teams, operations, and external payment providers, maintaining comprehensive oversight of our entire payment ecosystem.
What you will do :
- Product Expertise – Develop a deep understanding of various technologies and payment methods across LATAM countries to perform your duties effectively.
- Stakeholder Communication – Build and maintain relationships with payment providers, including central banks, banks, digital wallets, and payment systems. Understand their requirements and keep communication channels open.
- Operational Efficiency – Ensure payment flows meet established SLAs. Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
- Payment Process Analysis – Analyze fund movements within the company's systems, understand each payment method's operations, and ensure operational efficiency.
- Documentation & Compliance – Complete necessary documentation for suppliers and partners. Communicate information requests effectively and keep product documentation current in Confluence, including processes, workflows, decision logs, and product descriptions.
- Continuous Improvement – Engage in effective communication with internal and external teams, monitor and document all payment-related activities, and assess the impact of each decision.
- Business Strategy & Decision-Making – Develop and present business cases, model financial impacts, and advocate for strategic initiatives requiring approval.
- Task & Process Management – Monitor and follow up on tasks assigned to teams to ensure progress and alignment.
Your profile
Experience : Minimum 2 years of professional experience, with at least 6 months in the payments sector preferred.
Education : Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
Technical Skills :
- Mapping and analyzing payment flows: authorization, settlement, reconciliation.
- Managing supplier agreements and documentation.
- Knowledge of uptime metrics, latency, dispute resolution, and operational KPIs.
- Creating basic wireframes and payment interface designs in Figma (with support from marketing and tech teams).
- Strong documentation skills for processes and decisions within product teams.
- Business case modeling and strategy defense.
- Proficiency with task management tools like Jira, Confluence, or Asana.
- Nice to have: Proficiency in payment systems, including gateways, processors, acquiring banks, and alternative payment methods.
Soft Skills :
- Analytical thinking with understanding of cause-effect in payment systems.
- Effective communication, capable of conveying technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills to quickly resolve payment issues.
