AstraZeneca plc is seeking a Product Owner for Omics & Data Platforms, based in Barcelona. The role focuses on owning the roadmap for cancer genomics and spatial analytics platforms, ensuring data is FAIR, secure, and connected to AI tools.

You will collaborate with biologists, engineers, procurement and finance to steer platform strategy and vendor management. You will manage governance, user access, training and regional deployments while maintaining cost awareness and service levels across

Qualifications

5+ years of experience working with or managing omics data platforms or bioinformatics tools.
Experience as a product owner or product manager, or equivalent ownership of a scientific platform.
Understanding of genomic, transcriptomic or single-cell and spatial data and how scientists use it.
Experience managing vendor relationships, licences and renewals, including procurement.
Fluency with FAIR data principles and metadata standards.

Responsibilities

Own the roadmap and backlog for the cancer genomics portal and the single-cell and spatial analytics platforms, prioritising work with engineering and vendor partners.
Manage vendor, license and contract relationships, including renewals and cost considerations.
Ensure platforms meet service levels, coordinate incidents, releases and upgrades with engineering/support teams.
Oversee data standards and integration, including metadata and access controls, across platforms.
Collaborate across biology, oncology, engineering, procurement and finance to align the roadmap and budget.
