The Role

We are seeking a technically driven and strategic Product Owner to lead the development of our innovative data aggregation platform. Responsibilities include sourcing and managing external data suppliers, defining API integration strategies, and building a comprehensive data ecosystem that delivers value through intelligent aggregation and deduplication.

Key Responsibilities

1. API Integration & Testing: Conduct technical evaluations of data supplier APIs, perform integration tests, and assess data quality metrics.
2. Market Research & Supplier Discovery: Research and identify new data suppliers across target industries, building comprehensive supplier databases.
3. Vendor Communication & Relationship Management: Maintain contact with data suppliers, negotiate terms, and resolve technical or operational issues.
4. Data Quality Analysis: Monitor data streams, perform quality assessments, and implement validation processes.
5. Strategic Planning & Documentation: Update product roadmaps, create technical specifications, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with development teams on API integrations, brief executives, and align data strategy with business goals.
7. Industry Analysis: Conduct research into new market sectors to identify data opportunities and competitive advantages.

Qualifications

• Understanding of API architecture and hands-on development experience.
• Proven experience working with external APIs and integrating third-party data sources.
• Ability to evaluate, test, and compare data supplier APIs, assessing data quality.
• Strong analytical skills for industry analysis.
• Experience creating technical documentation and executive summaries for data partnerships.
• Ability to define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and vendor management skills.
• 2+ years of product management experience.
• 1+ years of development experience.
• Advanced understanding of development processes, planning, and execution.
• Strong analytical and strategic mindset with experience in executive reporting.

Location

Ruby Labs operates within CET (Central European Time). Applicants from any country within approximately ±4 hours of CET are welcome to apply to facilitate collaboration during working hours.
