The LV SWGR (Low Voltage Switchgear) Product Manager IEC EMEA gathers and analyzes customer needs, evaluates market and regulatory trends, develops new product roadmaps and strategy, leads presales support, and works collaboratively with others to drive profitable growth and innovation. This position is responsible for working with EMEA regional and functional teams to achieve both financial and sales objectives. The LV SWGR Product Manager exercises supervision in terms of R&D priorities, product target costs, design and pricing methods, and resourcing in a global SWGR PL (switchgear product line) matrixed organization.
- The successful candidate will be required to make frequent trips to the Republic of Ireland.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ownership of the LV SWGR (IEC 61439-2) product lifecycle management, including hardware, configuration software, and start-up services provided by EMEA Vertiv Service Team, from development through growth and phaseout.
- Coordinate with peers to drive innovation, development, and delivery, including specializations in AI, Cloud Services, Edge Computing, and customized applications for the data center market. Focus on growth in the EMEA Commercial & Industrial space.
- Enable global routes to market to facilitate commercial success, aligning with regional partners’ business models. Leverage Vertiv’s global manufacturing footprint.
- Support supply bases (internal and third-party) for competitive fulfillment, with a focus on IEC 61439-2 standard in EMEA.
- Conduct competitive assessments in the IEC EMEA marketplace, identify market opportunities, and analyze make vs. buy strategies, especially in cloud, colocation, and electrification sectors.
- Develop tools like configuration development, content creation, and data management to grow profitability.
- Manage LV SWBD configurator list pricing and work closely with finance teams on pricing strategies.
- Position as a trusted adviser to customers and regional partners, participate in industry groups influencing codes and standards.
- Drive technical input and requirements for new product development at the system level.
- Identify, prototype, and validate design improvements to enhance performance and consider environmental and safety factors.
- Collaborate with Marketing Communications to support literature and regional marketing initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in product engineering, manufacturing, or marketing.
- Experience in engineering, supply chain, or manufacturing operations, working with cross-functional teams.
- Skills in driving change and continuous improvement processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with Smartsheet and Power BI is beneficial.
- Ability to interface with customers at various levels.
- Experience leading meetings and presenting via digital platforms.
- Experience with NPDI and PLM systems.
- Lifelong learner with curiosity and initiative.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Experience in implementing new processes.
- Skills in problem-solving, data analysis, and project management.
- Direct experience with IEC 61439-2 Low Voltage Electrical Apparatus (<600V).
- Experience with low voltage electrical components like circuit breakers, transformers, etc.
