Job summary

Spendesk is seeking a Product Manager to lead Financial Services Ops—the squad turning compliance, risk, and operational needs into scalable product. You’ll work with Compliance, Operations, Risk, and Fraud teams to absorb demand, prioritise a backlog, and build tools that scale regulatory workflows across Spendesk’s platform.

You will own onboarding, KYC/AML scope, and the internal platform bridging Spendesk’s regulated entity with its products, while coordinating with Engineering to migrate

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Product Management experience in fintech, payments, banking, or regulated environments.
• Experience building products for internal users (back-office, operations tooling, platform, or infrastructure).
• Comfort working with regulation (PSD2, AML directives, compliance policies, MLRO discussions).
• Analytical rigour: define metrics, instrument what is not measured, use evidence to prioritise.
• Clear, natural communication: explain regulation clearly to stakeholders and negotiate scope.
• Resilience to operate with ambiguity and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Define the platform strategy and roadmap to meet business goals and regulatory obligations.
• Replace the current competing-P0 model with a single intake and prioritised backlog.
• Rebuild onboarding to reduce activation time and improve document completion.
• Lead the transaction monitoring system migration with Engineering and Compliance.
• Build internal tools and dashboards to help Operations scale without extra headcount.
• Define and instrument metrics like activation time, file completeness, cost per manual case.
