The role involves creating and maintaining product specifications, ensuring compliance with EU regulations, and responding to technical inquiries. Candidates should have a strong background in food regulatory knowledge and excellent multilingual communication skills to support customer relationships.

Formación

  • Knowledge of food industry regulations and certifications.
  • Experience with D365 and GApps software systems at Griffith Foods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for document creation and data analysis.

Purpose of the position

The primary purpose this position is the creation of customer specifications and handling technical queries (including legal issues) conform to customer expectations, focusing right first time and in full on time within short and changing deadlines, enabling a customer centric approach, building for targeted relationship with key stakeholders internally and with customers. This with moderate to low level of supervision.

It is a 6-month temporary position.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Finished good specs/Compliance:

  • Generation of customer product specifications and answers to technical enquiries:
    • Create and update detailed product specifications including the following data: Customer and Supplier data, Ingredient list, Allergen and intolerance data, GMO information, Microbiological spec, Analytical data, Physical data, Foreign body control, Storage condition and shelf life, Nutritional data, Packaging information, Spec authorization, Label example, Suggested on-pack declaration, Suitability info, HFSS info, Certifiable ingredients/Provenance, Animal by products, Supply chain map back to farm, Safety and stability control for ingredients, RTE controls.
    • Answer technical and legal inquiries as coordinated by the PI Team Lead.
    • Answer Crisis inquiries regarding the latest Food Alerts as coordinated by the PI Team Lead.
  • Compliance: Create product specifications in the required formats for customers within the time frame specified, in the required language, conform to BRC, ISO, legal and customer requirements.
  • Maintenance of documentation:
    • Maintain & update the files/specifications as organized by the Team Lead.
    • Maintain and update customer requirements files
  • Customer certification: Support the execution of Halal, Kosher and RSPO certification.
  • Audits: Support Halal, Kosher, RSPO audits. Support customer audits, BRC audits, ISO audits and governmental audits.
Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders of the regional team: Sales team, Purchasing team and R&D teams, …

Customer Communication -Customer Centric Approach

  • Develop close working relationships with selected / assigned customers’ technical team, through regular direct contact thereby ensuring that the business understands the customer’s requirements.

Requirements

  • Food industry knowledge
  • Detailed knowledge level of D365, GApps and Hamilton Grant software systems at Griffith Foods.
  • Detailed knowledge of EU regulation 1169/2011, and application related to Food information to consumers.
  • Basic knowledge of general Food legislation.
  • Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for creating documents, analyzing data, and managing communications.
  • English language is a must, multilingual skills are required for the Senior PI Specialist handling Central Europe customer specifications (Spanish, German, Dutch, French, Italian)
  • Basic understanding of BRC and ISO requirements.
  • Basic understanding of Kosher, Halal and RSPO certification requirements.
  • Basic understanding of non-GM certification requirements.
