A leading company in outdoor sports products seeks a Product Information Manager to oversee product information management and media assets. This role involves collaboration across teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of product data, while also contributing to the development of guidelines based on market trends. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data systems, project management skills, and a passion for outdoor sports.

Formación

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience as Product Information Manager.
  • Process/Project Management certifications desired.
  • Strong engagement with marketing and IT stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing multi-season product catalogs a plus.

Responsibilities & Main Duties : Product Information Management (PIM) :

  • Responsible for coordination, management and partial maintenance of the product information in the PIM system in close coordination with cross-functional teams (product, master data, design, marketing & development) to ensure consistent and up-to-date product data across all channels.
  • Project based further development of the PIM system in relation to new requirements of the various stakeholders and testing of releases.
  • PIM point of contact for everyone in the organization, system onboarding for employees, managing access for the tool and coordinating support tickets and testing in case of bugs, releases etc.

Media Asset Management (MIA) :

  • System ownership for the global MAM system (Celum) of Mammut Sports Group AG including management of all product media assets (importing images, organizing, tagging, preparing for external partners).
  • Project based further development of the MAM system in terms of user experience, structure, search and interfaces.
  • MIA point of contact for everyone in the organization, system onboarding for employees, managing access for the tool, 1st level technical support and coordinating support tickets and testing in case of bugs, releases etc.

Content Creation and Adaptation Support :

  • Supporting all internal and external stakeholders with product information creation of adaptations if needed (e-com, regions, marketplaces, WHS partners) incl. cost clarification and coordination with agencies.
  • Support product image production as needed.

Product and Season Launch Coordination :

  • Coordinate product launches, ensuring timely availability of product information across platforms and ensure that all necessary information is ready for launch date (export from PLM with product master data team).
  • Coordination and process management of the semi-annual season change with the business units, e-commerce and marketplaces.
  • Ensure product information is available in WHS purchase portals in time for sell-in timelines by season.
  • Validating all product information and attributes are accurate and adding required complementary content for new product.

Market Research and Product Data Guidelines :

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor practices, and customer preferences in terms of Product Information.
  • Create guidelines for compelling product descriptions, images, and videos and optimize on an ongoing basis based on market research findings and changing customer expectations.

Education :

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related subject.
  • Process / Project Management certifications (desired).

Skills & Experience :

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience working as a Product Information Manager, ideally in relation to end-user facing systems (e-commerce, marketplaces).
  • A thorough understanding and experience of working with data systems.
  • Strong project management skills & experience and ability to deliver to timelines.
  • Able to understand data architecture principles and translate business requirements into required data structures.
  • Proven ability to engage with marketing, IT, and various business stakeholders in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • A good understanding of best practice for Product Information and Content with a keen interest in keeping abreast of developments in user expectations and emerging digital conventions, trends and advancements.
  • Experience in managing multi-season product catalogs e.g. in an outdoor or apparel environment is a plus.
  • Highly independent with ability to manage priorities and workload independently even when working remotely.
  • A proactive and responsive attitude to daily work and to developing new ideas.
  • Highly data-driven and detail oriented mindset with high quality output.
  • Tech-savvy with ability to adapt to new systems & tools fast.
  • Natural multi-tasker who can manage multiple projects / tasks in parallel.
  • Team player able to build good relationships in a cross functional organization.
  • Structured, diligent & detail-oriented way of working.
  • Proactive & creative approach to problem solving.
  • Adaptive & flexible way of working with ability to deliver against deadlines and react to changing priorities.

Language Skills :

  • German and French are a plus.

IT Skills :

  • Experience with Product and Asset Management Systems.
  • Good knowledge of the Adobe products.
  • Experience with IPIM (Novomind) is a plus.
  • Experience with Celum is a plus.

Bonus Points :

  • Passionate about the mountains and outdoor sports in general.
