The R1SC Operations team is at the core of our customer safety practices at Amazon. As a Senior Compliance Associate with German, you will uphold high product compliance standards while collaborating with Amazon colleagues and external vendors. This role offers daily opportunities to deepen your understanding of compliance and develop expertise.

This is a Fixed Term Contract, meaning employment is for a specified period.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Search for and classify products according to Amazon’s regulatory obligations, following SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
  2. Report violations of rules, regulations, and policies, and evaluate or recommend investigative and corrective actions.
  3. Adhere to SOPs and instructions from managers.
  4. Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer experience.
  5. Communicate with stakeholders, providing guidance and updating the Lead/Manager as needed.
  6. Train and mentor other Associates.
  7. Engage with sellers regarding product compliance documentation and reinstatement.
A Day in the Life

As a Senior Compliance Associate with German, your focus is on maintaining safety for colleagues, vendors, and customers. Our team is globally dispersed, including locations such as China, India, Jordan, Poland, The Netherlands, and Costa Rica.

You will leverage your analytical skills and attention to detail to identify and mitigate daily risks, ensuring nothing is overlooked. Building positive relationships with vendors and colleagues is key, as is facilitating effective communication across all levels of the organization.

About the Team

Our compliance team works across Amazon to ensure adherence to global and local regulations, laws, and safety standards. Some team members focus on importing restricted products safely, while others classify products and ensure proper safety warnings are provided to customers.

We prioritize long-term compliance, utilizing data, automation, and advanced systems to improve the shopping experience. Our team is located worldwide, including regions like China, India, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and South America, supporting colleagues globally in maintaining safety and compliance.

Minimum Requirements
  • Proficiency in English (B1/B2) and Swedish (B1/B2).
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional setting.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills to identify patterns in large data sets.
  • Experience communicating with diverse stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
  • High school diploma.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a data-driven environment.
  • Client service experience, including relationship development.
  • Decision-making ability based on recommendations, even with unclear contexts.
  • Extensive internet and search engine proficiency.
  • Quick information retrieval skills about products.
  • Understanding of product safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in a language other than English.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL.
