Vodafone Group is launching its new technological HUB (MSH), an international center of excellence dedicated to research and development of technical solutions, such as Secure Networks, 5G and 6G development, Open RAN, IoT, MPN & MEC, and UCC for Vodafone Business, platforms, and enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Level vendor solution comparison, potential development timeline, targeted proof of concepts, business case framework, etc.

What you bring:

• Relevant higher education in a related field.
• Broad understanding of fixed enterprise connectivity products, IP networking, and data technologies.
• Experience with SDN and virtualization technologies.
• Core expertise in network and IT infrastructures, enabling Systems and Tools applicable to the SDN and NFV market, including:
• Service and Domain Orchestration, automation, and Inventory for real-time network management.
• Next-generation assurance principles and frameworks (OSS, AIOps).
• Key technologies, frameworks, and APIs in standards and open-source communities (TMF/MEF/ETSI).
• Public and private cloud architecture and components.
• Data collection, telemetry, modeling, processing, and management.
• Programming languages such as Python, visualization tools like Grafana, incident response platforms like PagerDuty.
• Service Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Network modeling languages (e.g., YANG, YAML, NETCONF).
• Traditional network operational mechanisms (e.g., Syslog, SNMP, NetFlow).
• Core expertise in established network technologies to develop Systems & Tools layered on top, including:
• IP Networking (WAN & LAN).
• Transport networks (Ethernet, OTN, SDN).
• Security solutions (Firewall, IPS, SASE).
• Datacenter (LAN and WiFi).
• Virtual and cloud networking.
• SD-WAN and NFV.
• Mobility and Mobile Data Services.
• Virtualization infrastructures.
• Hardware platform architectures (x86/ARM).
• Knowledge of IT Managed Services, preferably with ITIL, eTOM, or TOGAF experience.
• Advanced English level.
