Procurement, Senior Manager - Equipment (Capex, raw materials and 3PM)

We are partnering with a global leader in the chemicals and industrial manufacturing industry. They seek a senior procurement manager to lead a complex category within their direct procurement function. This role is at the forefront of procurement innovation, requiring a strategic leader to drive delivery and supply chain collaboration.

What Makes This Role Unique

This role involves managing a diverse portfolio, from high-volume products to sophisticated custom-engineered systems, overseeing both in-house manufacturing supply chains and third-party procurement across multiple European locations.

You will be responsible for equipment procurement (€250M spend) that supports the company's core products across industries like healthcare, hospitality, food service, and industrial applications. Equipment varies from basic dispensing systems to advanced technological solutions with sensors, precision dosing, and specialized application methods.

Your Impact

As Senior Manager, you will lead a team of 10 professionals across Spain, UK, Germany, and France, focusing on:

• Strategic 'make vs. buy' decisions balancing internal manufacturing and external sourcing
• Development of new equipment serving as key delivery vehicles for core products
• Transforming procurement practices into a service-oriented approach
• Innovating equipment design to create new profit centers
• Standardizing global equipment categories including mechanical components, electronics, and control systems

What You'll Bring

• Technical procurement experience, preferably with an engineering background
• Proven ability to manage international teams
• Experience in CAPEX, engineering procurement, 3PM, or technical indirect categories
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong commercial acumen balancing cost and revenue
• Manufacturing environment experience, ideally with external manufacturing or R&D prototyping exposure
