Hispasat, as part of SpaceRISE, is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end procurement for Ground Segment workstreams in the IRIS² project.

Based in Madrid area, you will coordinate SOWs, manage RFPs and supplier relationships, and ensure contractual compliance while driving continuous improvements.

The role requires a Master's in a related field, 10+ years in space procurement, English fluency, and EU clearance eligibility.

Hispasat, as part of the SpaceRISE consortium, is responsible for the technical implementation and ensuring the success of the IRIS² project, leveraging its extensive experience in satellite communications. This collaboration is essential to provide secure and reliable high-performance communication solutions to the European Union and its member states.

To be part of this project, we are looking for Procurement Manager. The responsibilities of the position are as follows:

Responsibilities

• Define and coordinate the contractual set-up and procurement workplans for the assigned Ground Segment scope.
• Coordinate the preparation of procurement packages, including statements of work, technical specifications, contractual deliverables and evaluation criteria.
• Manage RFP and tender activities, coordinating technical and commercial bid evaluations and supporting supplier selection and contract negotiation.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers against contractual objectives, schedule, quality and cost commitments.
• Monitor supplier progress, deliverables, risks, changes and contractual compliance, and provide clear internal and customer reporting.
• Coordinate procurement actions with programme management, engineering, Product Assurance, finance, legal and customer teams.
• Support acceptance and closure of procured products and services, ensuring that contractual evidence and deliverables are complete.
• Drive continuous improvement of procurement, subcontractor-management and reporting processes.

Minimum requirements

• Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• More than 10 years of relevant experience in complex space, Ground Segment or comparable technology programmes.
• Experience in technical procurement and subcontractor management for hardware, software or integrated systems.
• Strong contractual-management experience, including RFPs, statements of work, negotiations, changes and supplier follow-up.
• Experience monitoring schedules, costs, risks, quality and contractual deliverables.
• Knowledge of project planning tools such as Microsoft Project and of Agile working practices.
• Strong communication, negotiation, reporting and presentation skills.
• PMP or an equivalent project-management qualification is considered an asset.
• Nationality of an EU Member State and willingness to undergo an EU Secret clearance process.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken; any other European language is considered an asset.
