Hispasat, part of the SpaceRISE consortium, seeks a Configuration and Data Management Engineer for the IRIS² project in Madrid, Spain. You will define and maintain CM/Data Management processes, control baselines and documentation, coordinate change management, and support audits across internal and subcontractor teams.

Hispasat, as part of the SpaceRISE consortium, is responsible for the technical implementation and ensuring the success of the IRIS² project, leveraging its extensive experience in satellite communications. This collaboration is essential to provide secure and reliable high-performance communication solutions to the European Union and its member states.

To be part of this project, we are looking for Configuration and Data Management Engineer. The responsibilities of the position are as follows:

Responsibilities

• Define, implement and maintain Configuration and Data Management processes in accordance with project, customer and applicable standards requirements.
• Control baselines, configuration items and technical documentation, ensuring full traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage the configuration control of the project's Ground Segment infrastructures and ensure conformity with applicable requirements and programme baselines.
• Coordinate configuration change-management activities, including the review, evaluation, approval and implementation of change requests and deviations.
• Support configuration audits and reviews, ensuring consistency between requirements, design, documentation and delivered products.
• Manage project data and documentation repositories, ensuring document integrity, version control, accessibility and compliance with contractual requirements.
• Coordinate Configuration and Data Management interfaces with internal and external stakeholders, including institutional customers, partners and subcontractors.
• Produce and maintain the associated Configuration and Data Management documentation, records and contractual deliverables.
• Establish, implement and continuously improve the Configuration and Data Management processes deployed in the project.

Minimum requirements

• Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience in Configuration Management and Data Management tasks within complex engineering projects.
• Practical knowledge of baselines, configuration items, change control, configuration status accounting and document control.
• Experience managing technical documentation and contractual data deliverables from multiple teams or subcontractors.
• Knowledge and experience with configuration-management, document-management and controlled-repository tools.
• Knowledge, through training or experience, of applicable frameworks and standards, including ECSS and ISO.
• Experience supporting configuration audits and formal reviews.
• Experience working with classified information is considered an asset.
• Nationality of an EU Member State and willingness to undergo an EU Secret clearance process.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken; any other European language is considered an asset.
