Descripción del empleo

Hello, we are PEOPLESETUP, a digital HR consultancy that acts as a true partner to our clients, offering support, guidance, and solutions in everything related to people management.

Our client is an extraordinary ScaleUp based in Madrid, a pioneer in the production and commercialisation of organic baby food in Spain, leading the transformation of a category long dominated by multinational companies. Today, it is the top‑selling Spanish brand in its category and one of the fastest‑growing online—earning it the position of market leader in organic baby food.

The project began in 2015, founded by two entrepreneurs who wanted to offer parents natural, organic, additive‑free products—just like the ones they’d make at home. Today, the brand is available at over 7,000 points of sale across major retailers, pharmacies, organic specialty stores, and e‑commerce, which now accounts for 25% of its total sales. They have also begun international expansion, already exporting to countries in Europe, the Americas, and Asia.

Their value proposition is built on three principles: food is key to health, added chemicals are harmful, and all of this can be avoided through organic food in sustainable packaging. This philosophy led them to become the first company in Spain’s organic baby food sector to be certified as a B Corp. The B Corp movement promotes a new way of doing business and a different economic model—an international certification that recognises companies meeting high standards of environmental and social responsibility and sustainability.

The extraordinary response from consumers (and their parents), sustained sales growth (+50% annually), and a clear roadmap focused on changing the world have also attracted the support of several specialised investment funds. This has enabled them to acquire a production facility in southern Spain and secured the resources needed to scale and turn their dream into a reality.

To achieve this, our client is looking to appoint a PROCUREMENT MANAGER, who will join the Operations and Supply Chain team, reporting directly to the COO. You will be responsible for leading the company’s procurement function, ensuring the availability, quality, competitiveness and efficiency of the raw materials, products, auxiliary materials and services required to support the growth of the business.

They are very careful about who joins their team, because anyone who becomes part of the team must share and reflect what makes them different. They want to be your best professional choice, and they offer you:

  • Everyone is a key piece. You’ll take part in a unique project.
  • Fair value for great work. A competitive salary package within the scope of a scaleup, including a fixed & variable salary.
  • Technology serves people. It permits to work remotely 60 days a year.
  • Learning is the key to success. You’ll continue to grow your career.
  • You’ll never walk alone. You’ll work alongside an amazing team.
What will your responsibilities be?

As Procurement Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Define, together with the Operations Management team, the company’s procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with growth, efficiency, quality, sustainability and profitability objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in procurement policies, processes, suppliers, commercial conditions and sourcing models.
  • Build a medium- and long‑term vision for the area, anticipating future needs derived from the company’s growth, new product development and the evolution of production capacity.
  • Establish criteria, processes and tools that enable a more structured, efficient, measurable and scalable procurement function.
  • Define and monitor key indicators for the area, including savings, product cost, supplier service levels, deadline compliance, quality, incidents, supplier concentration and supply risks.
Supplier Management and Negotiation
  • Lead relationships with national and international suppliers, ensuring competitive conditions in terms of price, quality, service, deadlines, payment terms and supply reliability.
  • Negotiate, close and formalise commercial agreements and contracts with suppliers, ensuring that agreed conditions are properly documented and aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Evaluate, select and approve suppliers, ensuring compliance with internal requirements related to quality, certification, traceability, sustainability, service and competitiveness.

  • Monitor and control existing agreements, including prices, renewals, expiry dates, service levels, commercial conditions, supply commitments and potential reviews.
  • Manage supplier incidents in an agile and proactive manner, coordinating solutions with the teams involved and protecting the company’s interests.
  • Maintain a professional, demanding and collaborative relationship with strategic suppliers, building sustainable, long‑term agreements.
Procurement, Procurement and Supply Chain
  • Manage the procurement of raw materials, finished products, packaging, auxiliary materials and other supplies required for the company’s activity.
  • Ensure the availability of materials and products in the right time, quantity and quality, avoiding stockouts and guaranteeing continuity of production and distribution.
  • Work in coordination with Supply Chain, Production, Logistics, Quality and Innovation to align procurement with demand, production plans, launches and business needs.
  • Participate in procurement planning, demand forecasts, stock levels, lead times, minimum order quantities and future supply needs.
