Could you be the temporary Procurement Buyer in Madrid (Pinto) we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside young and proactive teammates.

You will set up the full supplier selection process. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, logistics), deploy commodities strategy, and much more.

You’ll specifically ensure project execution in line with Quality Cost Delivery & Technical (QCDT) objectives while also supporting supplier panel relationships (supplier workload, negotiation, specific agreements).

We’ll look to you for:

  1. Setting up the full supplier selection process.
  2. Preparing and launching Requests for Quotation with suppliers.
  3. Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
  4. Ensuring on-time delivery and quality, especially during the ramp-up phase of the project.
  5. Supporting commodity strategy.
  6. Participating actively in commodity strategy and panel elaboration.
  7. Providing inputs to build differentiation.
  8. Supporting global supplier panel relationships.
  9. Assessing risky suppliers and managing the associated mitigation plan.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  1. Academic background: Technical Engineering or University Degree in Industrial Engineering, Economics, Administration, Finance, or related studies.
  2. 1 year of experience in similar positions.
  3. Desirable knowledge in SAP.

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  1. Work with new security standards for services.
  2. Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues.
  3. Contribute to innovative projects.
  4. Utilise our cooperative working environment.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!

Important to note:

As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 70+ countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
