Procurement Analyst Graduate - Ebury Leon

Work Pattern : 4 days in the office, 1 day from home

Role Overview :

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing Fintech and a recently established global procurement function. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Procurement within Ebury Finance. As this is a new division, there are many tasks to be undertaken, including defining processes and policies, conducting sourcing activities daily, and supporting Global Accounting Services in improving purchasing operations. The candidate will be strongly supported by a business that is embracing the opportunities presented by a procurement function that yields results month on month.

This role's main scope of work will involve downstream procurement activities: Purchasing, Reporting, and Analytics. Additionally, ad-hoc support for sourcing activities may be required in the future.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Purchasing activities : Managing the implementation of the Purchase Order (PO) process to achieve the goal of channeling 80% of external spend via PO invoices.
  2. Managing PO creation and receipt processes.
  3. Monitoring process implementation and adoption by other departments.
  4. Participating in procurement and PO process enhancement projects.
  5. Supporting the development of training materials and delivering training to promote adoption.
  6. Supporting the growth and maturity of the Purchase to Pay function by continually seeking and implementing improvements in purchasing processes and systems in collaboration with the Ebury Procurement Specialist.

Analytics and Reporting :

  1. Collecting and analyzing procurement data to identify process improvement opportunities and support key objectives such as reducing Non-PO and credit card spend.
  2. Developing procurement taxonomy, including engaging key stakeholder groups (business owners, TPRM, FP&A, and Global Accounting Services).

Additional upstream procurement activities may be supported based on projects and capacity, including:

  1. Market Research : Staying informed about market conditions, industry trends, and potential vendors or suppliers.
  2. Development of RFX documents.
  3. Consolidating and analyzing tender responses.
  4. Supporting large and complex tenders.

Requirements and Skills :

  1. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  2. Proficiency in analytical tools.
  3. Good communication and interpersonal skills, including English; basic Portuguese knowledge is a bonus.
  4. A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field is preferred but not critical.
