Process Design Engineer

Location: Remote in the U.S. with up to 25% travel; based at 374Water Systems Inc., Ovideo, FL, US

Salary Range: $135,000 - $160,000 annually

Job Summary

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will lead the design and development of AirSCWO systems, working closely with fabrication teams, suppliers, and end-users. You should have experience in industrial startup environments, strong knowledge of chemical engineering fundamentals, and familiarity with industry-standard equipment.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop technical specifications for process equipment such as heat exchangers, valves, pumps, and separation vessels.
  2. Create models supporting process design, including heat and mass balances and CFD simulations.
  3. Lead technology development projects, including testing new equipment and designing custom subsystems.
  4. Perform value engineering to optimize cost and footprint.
  5. Contribute to P&ID revisions, design reviews, and HAZOP studies.
  6. Prepare technical documentation.
Qualifications
  • BSc or MSc in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in water/wastewater or similar chemical processes.
  • Experience with pumps, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, valves, and hydraulics.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software such as Aspen Plus, ChemCAD, or DWSIM.
  • Experience with high-pressure/high-temperature processes is a plus.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).
