Utopia Design is seeking a Sous Chef to join a private family residence near Barcelona, collaborating with the Head Chef. This is a freelance / on-call, permanent full-time role cooking for two principals and four children.

The kitchen uses a strict dietary framework; all cooking is done in clarified butter, no bread or pastries, salads served undressed with dressings on the side. HACCP certification and discretion are essential, with the ability to cover the entire family day when the Head Chef

Formación

• At least 3 years in Sous Chef or Chef de Partie at fine dining, luxury hotel or private household.
• Certified HACCP and food-handler certification required.
• Ability to work autonomously when Head Chef is absent.
• Excellent discretion and professionalism in a confidential household.

Responsabilidades

• Support Head Chef in daily meals, private dinners, and events to the highest standard.
• Lead the kitchen during Head Chef's absence with continuous quality and service.
• Assist in menu development, sourcing, stock control, and supplier coordination.
• Maintain strict food safety, allergen management, and kitchen hygiene.
• Anticipate needs and contribute improvements to daily operations.
• Adapt to the household schedule, including events.
