**Company description**
As a Manager in the Private Equity Team, you will be responsible for leading the relationship with a portfolio of private equity clients, reviewing client NAVs, and contributing to the overall management of Pinnacle through active participation within the Management Team. You will work with close-ended Funds specializing in private equity, private debt, real estate, and venture capital.
We seek strong team players, outgoing individuals with a strong work ethic who can take initiative in a growing entrepreneurial company. Prior private equity fund administration management experience or experience in the fund industry is preferred for this role.
**Responsibilities**
- Manage a portfolio of client relationships.
- Review and approve net asset valuations performed by fund accountants prior to release to clients and investors, including:
- Capital activity such as capital calls & distributions
- General ledger
- Cash activity and reconciliations
- Income and expenses, including fees, in accordance with accounting standards
- Investor Statements and contract notes
- Pricing information for Level 3 investments
- Distribution waterfall calculations
- Financial statements
- Manage year-end audits and tax reporting with clients and auditors, ensuring timely completion of fieldwork.
- Effectively manage staff’s time and workload to meet internal and external deadlines.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client requests, prioritizing multiple requests and escalating when necessary.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Compliance, Investor Services) to align processes and workflows.
- Ensure all processes and outputs comply with Pinnacle’s policies and procedures, maintaining a strong control environment.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Provide technical accounting and industry knowledge to clients.
- Coach, develop, and train junior staff, including conducting performance appraisals.
**Desired Skills and Experience**
- 3-5 years of experience in the fund industry.
- At least 2 years managing client relationships and deliverables.
- In-depth knowledge of closed-ended funds.
- Accounting designation is required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines.
- Experience with PFS-Paxus is a plus but not required.
