Our team seeks an experienced Principal Technical Sales & Consulting Specialist to join our Professional Services and Consulting Services team. This high-impact role involves consulting with agency customers on product upgrades, implementation, and technology integrations, and developing strategic directions for one of the leading global travel technology companies.

Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Map customer needs to Sabre solutions, generating differentiated value and opportunities for value exchange.
  2. Lead technical presentations, product demonstrations, and workshops to showcase Sabre products and APIs aligned with customer needs.
  3. Serve as the voice of the customer by collaborating internally with sales and product teams to propose solution changes that enhance efficiency or adoption.
  4. Manage end-to-end technical integration consulting processes, including structuring Web-Service payloads in XML during new customer onboarding.
  5. Advocate for customers by resolving complex technical issues affecting Sabre product implementation, operation, and utilization. Provide best practice consulting to maximize benefits of Sabre solutions.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  1. Deep understanding of the travel industry, including challenges related to content fragmentation and distribution models.
  2. Strong leadership skills in consultative or collaborative settings with customers and internal teams.
  3. Ability to consider financial impacts and recommend appropriate solutions considering overall customer deal impact.
  4. Excellent communication skills and assertiveness to confidently advise high-level decision makers on technical and operational strategies.
  5. Innovative thinking with the ability to approach situations from multiple perspectives, communicating effectively across diverse cultures and roles.
  6. Proven technical experience in customer-facing roles focused on ecommerce solutions, especially with travel APIs and Web Services.
  7. Proficiency with GDS products and hands-on experience with Sabre APIs, SOAP, REST, JSON, XML, and Web Scripting languages.
  8. Experience guiding customers through adopting Web2.0 technologies.
  9. Previous development experience is advantageous.
  10. Native language and culture preferred.
  11. Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and multi-tasking ability to support multiple clients.
  • Experience in an Online Travel Agency or eCommerce environment.
