Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join our Civil and Structural Team in Madrid/Seville (Spain) with options for Bulgaria/Serbia locations. You will lead design on power generation and HV projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust structural solutions.

The role requires advanced structural engineering knowledge, hands-on experience with SAP2000/ETABS, BIM proficiency, and strong leadership for FEED and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Advanced structural engineering knowledge including load-bearing capacity and design codes (Eurocodes, ASCE).
• Proficiency with SAP2000, ETABS for modelling complex structures.
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) for project visualization and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Carry out design work on power plants, HV substations, HVDC interconnectors, and HV cable projects.
• Lead project management, proposal writing, and FEED activities.
• Coordinate design with multidisciplinary teams and prepare drawings/specifications.
