Mott MacDonald in Spain is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join our Civil and Structural Team across energy projects, including power generation and HV networks. Based in Seville or Madrid, you will lead design work on complex projects and contribute to FEED, drawings, and specifications.

The role requires advanced structural engineering knowledge, experience with SAP2000/ETABS, BIM, and proven project leadership.

Formación

• Advanced Structural Engineering Knowledge including load-bearing capacity, material properties, and design codes.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS) for modeling complex structures.
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and its application to projects.
• Project leadership to manage structural engineering projects end-to-end.
• Proposal writing and cost estimation for FEED and tender packages.
• FEED experience related to structural components.
• Design coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and leadership within teams.
• Attention to detail in drawings for planning and tenders.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out design work on power plants, HV substations, HVDC converter projects, and HV cable works.
• Lead FEED activities and front-end design processes.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and tender packages.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and other disciplines.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage project timelines and budgets.
