Phastar is seeking a Principal Programmer for leading SDTM/ADaM programming across multiple studies and supporting regulatory submissions. This full-time, fully remote position can be based in Canada or Spain, with strong CDISC expertise and macro development responsibilities.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, data governance, and the ability to deliver high-quality datasets on time while contributing to a supportive team culture in a global CRO environment.

Qualifications

• BSc in Mathematics, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Solid experience of CDISC data standards.
• Experience of programming to SDTM and ADaM standards.
• Excellent communication skills, well-organized, proactive team player with a creative approach to problem-solving.
• Experience as a lead on several studies/projects.
• MSc in Mathematics, Computer Science or a related discipline is advantageous.

Work as a Principal Programmer across multiple clinical and non-clinical studies; supporting regulatory submission activities; producing and validating datasets and outputs to excellent quality whilst adhering to deliverable timelines. Excellent knowledge of CDISC SDTM and ADaM implementation guidelines working independently in this area; producing, reviewing and updating complex dataset specifications (including efficacy); creating and debugging complex macros; reviewing Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs), including study specific ISS/ISE and DSMB SAPs and output shells with a view to commenting from a programming perspective. Excellent team work ethos, proactive at managing workload, willingness to help others and learn new skills from working in a team environment.

This role is full-time and fully-remote. The successful candidate may be based in Canada or Spain.
