Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Madrid is seeking a Principal Power Systems Architect to lead end-to-end electrical design for hyperscale data centres, from HV grid connection through MV distribution to rack power.

You will drive five domain groups, engage TSOs/DSOs, sign off major study deliverables, specify system equipment, and mentor a team to deliver reliable, future‑ready electrical architectures.

Formación

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in electrical engineering; focus on power systems is a strong differentiator.
• Minimum 15 years of industrial experience across at least three of five domains.
• Proven experience with HV grid connections, TSO engagement and grid code compliance within IEC/EU frameworks.
• Familiarity with IEC standards relevant to large power systems and hands-on experience with RMS/EMT simulation tools.

Responsabilidades

• Own the overall electrical architecture of large-scale AI data centre campuses from HV connection to rack power.
• Lead five domains: steady-state planning, dynamic studies, insulation coordination, protection and RAMS, MV/LV system design.
• Define study scope, ensure coherence, and drive grid connection strategy with TSOs/DSOs.
• Provide technical sign-off across study deliverables and equipment specifications.
• Mentor and develop the engineering team across domains.
