Job summary

dLocal in Barcelona is seeking an experienced security engineer to own the detection platforms, defensive tooling, and cloud security engineering that power our secure infrastructure. You will design, implement, and scale security controls across the environment to protect critical payment platforms.

You will automate workflows, shape incident response pipelines, and translate requirements into actionable backlogs for engineering teams, leveraging AI-driven approaches to move security faster

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience across Security Operations, Detection Engineering, and Cloud Security.
• Proven track record of building and owning defensive infrastructure and cloud security at scale.
• Ability to translate security requirements into engineering backlogs and automation.

Responsibilities

• Automate & orchestrate security workflows and SOAR integrations.
• Architect and maintain core defensive stack (SIEM/EDR/DLP/CSPM/CNAPP/DSPM).
• Design secure-by-default AWS architectures and hardened Kubernetes base images.
• Own log lifecycle from ingestion to automated response workflows.
• Collaborate with AI/ML to feed platform signals into AI-assisted response pipelines.
• Configure agent policies and ensure fleet baseline security and performance.
