The Mill Adventure Limited in Barcelona is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to own security across the code, the cloud, the pipelines, the corporate estate, and incident response. This is a hands-on role with architectural ownership and a small security team, requiring practical delivery and strong collaboration with developers and architects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on in a technical security engineering role.
• You design and you deliver; you can produce architectures that survive review.
• Judgement across security engineering, IT security, security operations and offensive security.
• Deep AWS security: IAM, SCPs, Security Hub, GuardDuty, WAF and Cloudflare.
• You write production code in Python/Go/Bash; TypeScript a major plus.
• Infrastructure as Code and its failure modes.
• Vulnerability and attack surface management you have run.
• SIEM and detection engineering: turning data into detections.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead the design and implementation of security controls across our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Coach and mentor developers, engineers and architects on secure design and threat modelling.
• Own vulnerability management and our attack surface; drive findings to closure with owning teams.
• Own the security of the SDLC by integrating SAST, DAST and SCA and keeping them enabled.
• Automate security controls and ensure AI-driven security is integrated.
• Test our own systems using offensive techniques to validate controls.
