Job summary

Adevinta in Barcelona, Spain, seeks a security engineer to lead investigations into cloud and platform incidents, develop cloud-specific playbooks, and support on-call rotations. You will refine escalation procedures and contribute to post-mortem analyses to improve detection and response.

You will implement threat intelligence into the SIEM, collaborate across teams, and ensure escalation paths work across all tiers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a security engineering, SOC or incident response role.
• Experience with AWS Cloud technologies and Kubernetes.
• Familiar with SDLC, GitOps and modern tooling; English fluency.

Responsibilities

• Lead deep investigations into cloud and platform incidents.
• Develop and refine cloud-specific playbooks and escalation procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotation and post-mortem analyses to improve detection and response.
• Operationalise threat intelligence into the SIEM detection pipeline.
• Collaborate with Core Defense and SCASSI to ensure escalation paths work across all tiers.
