We invite you to join us on a critical and exciting mission! Your role will be to serve as a technical expert, establishing smart pricing models and policies for all OLX customer segments (Motors, Real Estate, Goods, Jobs, and Services). The goal is to develop pricing strategies that are fair for customers, proportional to market value, and beneficial for OLX. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a strategic movement within the company, with a significant business impact.

Your responsibilities include providing technical guidance to Product, Commercial, and Data Science teams working on pricing and optimization. You will inspire and mentor team members, explore new technologies in Causal Inference and Decision Science, and deliver tangible business value. You will engage with key stakeholders and have direct contact with internal customers, designing experiments across different business lines and observing the impact of your work on OLX's growth.

Additionally, you will mentor and lead the Data Science and Analytics community within OLX, identifying impactful opportunities for the organization, our users, and the broader Data Science community across our hubs.

What you will be doing :

• Work within the Data Science team focusing on Pricing Optimization from a platform and marketplace perspective.
• Lead projects in collaboration with local Data Science, Data Engineering teams, and Product and Commercial leaders.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships, translating requirements into achievable projects, and collaborating with infrastructure and data engineering teams.
• Work with Product Analytics to track KPIs of ML use cases and measure their impact.
• Partner with the Experimentation team to integrate KPIs into the A/B testing platform.
• Develop data science solutions to improve business outcomes in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
• Ensure the achievement of R&D objectives through stakeholder management and mentoring junior Data Scientists.
• Optimize models based on specific use case requirements, collaborating to deploy scalable machine learning solutions.
• Assess the impact of your models against company goals.
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software on schedule.
• Collaborate with multi-functional, diverse, multinational teams.

Who are we looking for :

• Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong foundation in Decision Science.
• Experience in Pricing and Pricing Optimization within a commercial context.
• Knowledge of Causal Inference and strong statistical skills, including experimental design and hypothesis testing.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives that generate scalable impact.
• Proactive in identifying impact opportunities across multiple domains and teams.
• Visionary with the ability to communicate future strategies to diverse stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of machine learning techniques applied to business problems.
• Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives organization-wide.
• Strong engineering background with proficiency in Python and familiarity with other programming languages like Kotlin or Java, plus engineering best practices.
• Experience with SQL and handling large datasets.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work effectively in diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.

Nice to have :

• Experience with cloud tools such as AWS Athena, Sagemaker, Spectrum, or Kinesis.
• Experience building large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines with frameworks like Spark.
• Familiarity with workflow management platforms like Apache Airflow.
• Experience with initiatives like Tech Radar for Data Science and external collaborations such as Amazon ML Solutions Lab.
