What are we looking for?

We are seeking a Data Engineer Expert to work closely with one of our main clients in the financial sector.

Main tasks and responsibilities include:

1. Collaborating with stakeholders within business and technology to understand needs and design optimal data-driven solutions.
2. Leading strategic prototyping workshops to clarify objectives and collaborating across Global Technology Shared Services to implement solutions.
3. Understanding approaches for building self-service BI versus corporate BI, including data sources and ETL processes.
4. Driving reporting efficiencies and creating training for Power BI report designers, data modelers, and consumers.
5. Acting as a Power BI product evangelist, staying updated with the latest technology developments, and contributing to the Power Platform centre of excellence.
6. Assessing adoption and customer satisfaction in collaboration with product teams and UX specialists.
7. Being a proactive change ambassador with a creative approach to problem-solving.

What do we expect from you?

Highly skilled in data analysis, data modeling, and designing ETL processes with over 10 years of experience as a Data Engineer. Experience in performance tuning and handling large data volumes is essential. A good understanding of enterprise big data architectures and extensive experience in developing reporting and analytics solutions using Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, SSAS, and related Azure services. Knowledge of Power Platform solutions, Power BI, and the full Software Development Lifecycle, including Azure DevOps and Visual Studio, is required. Familiarity with security model designs within data estates and good English proficiency (C1 level) for working with international teams.

Nice to have:

• Experience in building reporting governance frameworks and driving adoption.
• Experience with SAFe working practices.
• Experience consuming data via APIs, Snowflake, various databases, and file formats.
• Understanding of Data Quality approaches such as shift left.
