Principal Data Engineer

Principal Data Engineer – 100% Remote from Spain | Work with a Global Team!

We are looking for a highly qualified Principal Data Engineer to lead our clients' data engineering initiatives in a fully remote role. You’ll be working with a distributed team across LATAM and Dubai, tackling cutting-edge data challenges at a global scale.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement big data pipelines using technologies such as Spark, Hive, Hadoop, MapR, and Kafka.
• Develop ETL workflows with tools like Talend and DBT.
• Optimize databases and write advanced SQL queries.
• Orchestrate workflows with Airflow, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure data governance standards are met.
• Implement scalable cloud solutions on GCP and AWS.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hive, Hadoop, MapR, NiFi, Kafka).
• Strong expertise in Python, Talend, and advanced SQL.
• Deep knowledge of databases, DBT, Airflow, and data governance.
• Cloud experience with AWS.
• Familiarity with CI / CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab).
