Formación

Due to growing demand for our consultancy services, we are seeking a skilled Azure Developer with hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric to join our specialist Turner & Townsend Technology consulting team. The role requires a candidate with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, experience engaging with client stakeholders and the ability to work independently.

An organised and systematic approach to work is a must, as well as an ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, senior leadership and external partners to allow for the delivery of cutting-edge digital platforms. The role will play an important part in designing, developing and delivering scalable cloud-solutions which harness the power of Azure and Microsoft Fabric for advanced data integration, automation and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of developers, data analysts and data scientists
  • Design and develop end-to-end cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Fabric and other Azure services
  • Build data pipelines, integrate data sources and develop data models within Microsoft Fabric
  • Implement data lakehouses, data warehouses, Synapse Analytics and Data Factory within the Fabric environment
  • Develop Power BI dashboards and real-time analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric
  • Automate deployments and monitoring of cloud solutions using CI / CD pipelines
  • Troubleshoot and optimise existing digital platforms for performance and cost efficiency
  • Implement solutions following best practices for data governance, cybersecurity and compliance
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists and client stakeholders to deliver solutions

Qualifications

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Proven experiences as an Azure Developer (minimum 5 years)
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (mandatory)
  • Hands-on experience with implementing data lakes, data lakehouses and data warehouses
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions and Azure Logic Apps
  • Experience with SQL and Python for data processing and scripting
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM and data governance frameworks
  • Experience with CI / CD tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in an Agile environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable Skills and Accreditations

  • Microsoft certifications (e.g. Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer)
  • Experience with AI / ML integration with Microsoft Fabric and Azure ML
  • Familiarity with DataOps and MLOps practices
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Purview for data governance and data cataloguing
  • Previously or currently hold local security clearances to work with defence organisations (e.g. Garda Vetting in Ireland, Personal Security Clearance in Spain, VS-NfD / VS-Vertraulich / Geheim / Streng Geheim in Germany)
