We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of cloud platforms and services, as well as experience with development and business agile teams on successful, medium-large scale, cloud migrations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Cloud Platform Engineering : Engineer a best-in-class Azure Cloud platform with a focus on PaaS, ensuring scalability, fault tolerance, high resilience, security, observability, and simplicity.
• Cloud Solutions Integration : Engineer and integrate cloud solutions & services to industry best practice, considering scalability, fault tolerance, high resilience, security, observability, and simplicity.
• Proof of Concepts : Run proof of concepts for new cloud services or cloud third-party tooling, evaluating their suitability for our organization.
• Security Review : Work with InfoSec colleagues to review and enhance the Azure security posture, identifying areas for improvement.
• Innovation : Devise innovative ideas for solving hard technical problems involving distributed systems, scale, and security, translating these ideas into designs and implementation.
• Cloud Strategy : Work with peers to refine the cloud strategy, cloud adoption plan, and cloud migration plan, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Development Support : Collaborate with development teams to help them through the cloud journey, evaluate and identify new cloud service requirements, and engineer and implement globally.
• Platform Evolution : Identify, triage, and constantly automate and evolve the platform by pushing for change that improves reliability, operability, and developer experience.

Requirements :

• Azure Experience : Strong experience with Azure PaaS services, design, engineering, and implementation.
• Cloud Knowledge : Deep understanding of Kubernetes, AKS, Cosmos, ASE, Cognitive, Data Factory, Event Grid, Log Analytics, SQL, Blob, Table Storage, Queue Storage, Sentinel, Security Centre.
• Cloud Transformation : Experience of cloud transformation & change programs across technology organizations.
• Infrastructure Expertise : Strong experience across the infrastructure stack with Virtualisation, Windows, Linux, environments as well as Storage, Database, and Networking.
• DevOps Tools : Experience with modern DevOps tooling (e.g., GIT, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Azure ARM, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes).
• PaaS, Infra-as-Code, Compliance-as-Code : Deep understanding of PaaS, Infra-as-Code, Compliance-as-Code, and when / how to use & enable.
• Engineering Practices : Experience with modern engineering and agile practices as well as shift left CI / CD.
• Scripting Languages : Experienced with scripting and / or ideally one language, (e.g., Python, .NET, PowerShell, Nodejs, Ruby, Java).
• Collaboration : Proven ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across technology.
• English Language : Solid interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to self-manage, with English at least C1 level.

Desired Skills :

• Education : University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Azure Certifications : Azure Cloud Certifications at Associate, expert, or specialty level.
• AWS Understanding : Understanding of AWS.
• Cloud Service Capabilities : Understanding of Cloud Service capabilities and relative strengths (AWS, Azure, GCP, Ali).
• Power BI : Experience of Power BI, Azure Power Platform.
