Jobgether, on behalf of a partner, seeks a Principal Engineer based in Spain to shape the architecture of a large-scale Merchant Experience platform. You will own the technical direction, mentor teams, and influence engineering strategy across multiple squads in a cloud-native environment.

You will tackle scalability, performance, distributed systems, and domain modeling while championing Domain-Driven Design and driving architectural guardrails across global teams.

Formación

• . 10+ years of software engineering experience in senior tech leadership roles.
• . Deep knowledge of Domain-Driven Design and applying it to microservices and complex domains.
• . Strong fundamentals in data structures, architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems.
• . Proven ability to translate architecture into practical solutions and drive technical decisions.
• . Excellent written and spoken English with cross-team influence.
• . Experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms (GCP/Azure).
• . Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• . Nice to have: PHP, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and modern front-end familiarity (TypeScript/Node.js/Angular/Vue).
• . Familiarity with Symfony, Doctrine, Yii, and CI/CD, observability, and cloud-native architectures.
• . Familiarity with AI-assisted software development is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Own and share accountability for technical direction, architecture, and solution design for the Merchant Experience pillar.
• Make key architectural decisions and review designs to align with platform strategy.
• Contribute to organization-wide engineering standards via architecture initiatives.
• Support engineering teams with proofs of concept and clarify architectural decisions.
• Address architecture-related challenges in performance, scalability, and distributed systems.
• Mentor engineers and technical leaders on architecture and coding standards.
• Collaborate to establish cohesive architecture practices, guardrails, and standards.
• Act as a subject-matter authority for DDD and promote high-quality solutions.
