Hitachi Energy is expanding its ES Regional Office in Madrid, Spain. Join a dynamic team focusing on electromechanical design of substations for offshore platforms, data centers and HV substations across the region.

You will collaborate on design to delivery, leveraging BIM/3D and high voltage expertise, while upholding safety, integrity and quality. Willingness to travel 10% is required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Solid track record in electromechanical design of substations (AIS or GIS).
• Relevant High Voltage Apparatus experience.
• Fluent in English; additional languages welcomed.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate the electromechanical scope to ensure correct function of substation systems.
• Prepare technical specifications and validate equipment throughout tender and design phases.
• Ensure alignment of 3D design/models across civil and electromechanical interfaces.
• Provide design recommendations to meet safety and quality standards.
• Support the project team with claims related to changes in scope, costs, and schedule.

As part of this dynamic team, you will play a key role in supporting project execution from design to delivery, ensuring innovative solutions for offshore platforms, data centers, and high-voltage substations across the region.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Lead and coordinate the primary (electromechanical) scope to ensure the integrity and the correct function operation of the substation systems.
• Produce technical documentation, supporting not only tender development but also early conceptual design, detail design and equipment implementation. suincluding conceptual design support and equipment implementation.
• Prepare and review technical specifications and validate equipment.
• Ensure alignment of the 3D design/models, coordinating and resolving interfaces between civil and electromechanical disciplines.
• Make technical recommendations during design, engineering, and execution phases to meet process requirements and standards.
• Support the project team with claims related to changes in the primary scope, assessing cost, time impacts, and risks while maintaining customer satisfaction through continuous dialogue and excellent service.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues to share best practices and develop leadership, coordination, and communication skills, upholding our core values of safety, integrity, and quality.

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Solid track record in electromechanical design of substations (AIS or GIS).
• Relevant High Voltage Apparatus experience and knowledge.
• BIM/3D methodology knowledge will be a plus.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to workplace safety guide-lines, combined with a high level of self-motivation and curiosity for new technologies.
• Collaborative and solutions-oriented approach, with strong communication skills and knowledge of power systems, renewable energy, transmission systems.
• Fluent in English. Any additional languages will be appreciated.

Willingness to travel: Required 10% of the time.
