Hitachi Energy Spain, S.A.U. is seeking an Electrical Lead Engineer in Madrid to lead the electrical engineering scope on multidisciplinary projects within the Grid & Power Quality Solutions team.

You will plan, coordinate, and deliver high-quality electrical design work across schematics, cubicles, and power systems in a global context. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, about 5 years in power systems, and fluency in English, with a collaborative, solution-oriented

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Around 5 years of experience in Power Systems, Power quality, Power Grid Solution, Power transmission (HVDC), Substations.
• Extensive knowledge of Electric CAD systems; Zuken E3 and Engineering Base are a bonus.
• Knowledge of calculation tools and relay configuration.
• English proficiency is essential; additional languages valued.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Electrical Engineering deliverables in projects, including planning, coordinating, and communicating all technical aspects related to the Electrical scope of work within the project.
• Deliver electrical design deliverables in areas: Electrical Plant Schematic, Control Cubicle Design, Relay Cubicle Design, Station Power design, Cable engineering (< 1 kV), and miscellaneous equipment based on customer specs.
• Turn customer requirements into safe, qualitative, and cost-effective designs based on base solutions, internal design rules, and country regulations.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering and with System, Primary Engineering, Studies, and Civil Engineering teams.

As an Electrical Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the electrical engineering scope of projects, ensuring high-quality technical deliverables while coordinating activities across multidisciplinary teams.

How you'll make an impact

Responsible for Electrical Engineering deliverables in projects, including planning, coordinating, and communicating all technical aspects related to the Electrical scope of work within the project.

Delivering electrical design deliverables in the following areas:

• Electrical Plant Schematic
• Control Cubicle Design
• Relay Cubicle Design
• Station Power design (after Auxiliary transformer)
• Cable engineering (< 1 kV)
• miscellaneous equipment based on customer specifications

Turning customer expectations and requirements into safe, qualitative, and cost-effective designs based on base solutions, internal design rules, and national regulations in the country of delivery.

Collaborating within Electrical Engineering, as well as with System, Primary Engineering, Studies, and Civil Engineering teams.

Your background

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar work experience
• Around 5 years of experience in Power Systems, Power quality, Power Grid Solution, Power transmission (HVDC), Substations
• Extensive knowledge of Electric Cad system
