Introduction to the vacant position:
The Biomedical Signal Processing and Interpretation (BIOSPIN) Group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is looking for a Pre-doctoral Researcher to conduct predoctoral training on innovative multimodal signal processing and Artificial Intelligence algorithms to extract clinical indices and provide new digital biomarkers for sleep medicine.
The aim of the project is to develop new algorithms and tools of Digital Health for non-invasive, home-based sleep apnea detection, multi-night monitoring and prediction of cardiovascular risk and other comorbidities. The PhD project will be conducted in the framework of the project entitled: “Smart mHealth systems for sleep apnea detection, monitoring and treatment: a multimodal approach for individuals with different health conditions” (mHealthSleep4U). This fellowship is associated with Generación de Conocimiento, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
