A leading Spanish university is seeking a Predoc-contract researcher in the field of Physics. The role involves operating a cryogenic scanning tunneling microscope and requires a degree in Engineering or Physics, as well as experience in handling cryogenic systems and 2D materials. The part-time position offers a gross monthly salary of €1286, starting on October 1, 2025.

Formación

• Demonstrated experience in scanning tunneling microscopy measurements of 2D materials.
• Experience in handling and transferring cryogenic liquids.

Responsabilidades

Predoc-contract at Low Temperatures and High Magnetic Fields Laboratory – UAM

• Operation of a cryogenic scanning tunneling microscope.
• Exfoliation of two-dimensional samples.
• Analysis and interpretation of results, as well as scientific paper writing.
• Demonstrated experience in scanning tunneling microscopy measurements of 2D materials.
• Demonstrated experience in operating a 3He-4He dilution refrigerator system.
• Demonstrated experience in handling and transferring cryogenic liquids.
• Demonstrated experience in the growth of two-dimensional (2D) materials.
• Degree in Engineering or Physics.
• Master's degree in Physics or related fields (Condensed Matter, Nanotechnology).

1286 €/monthly gross salary
