We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power Electronics Manager to lead a dynamic team in Barcelona. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in the automotive sector and specializes in power electronics and hardware development. As a Power Electronics Manager, you will oversee a team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology in electronic design and automotive safety qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Hardware/Power Electronic engineers
  • Research, develop, prototype, test, and bring to mass production innovative analog and power electronics systems.
  • Design electronic hardware and perform simulations to ensure robustness and efficiency.
  • Develop high-voltage and high-power converters, including signal sensing and processing circuits.
  • Create test procedures that accurately verify hardware designs against strict automotive standards.
  • Prepare detailed design specifications, schematics, test records, bill of materials, datasheets, and application notes.

Required Skills:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 8 years of experience in Hardware Development Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a managerial position within the automotive industry is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of analog electronics development and high-power conversion systems.
  • Proficiency in ORCAD design tools (Capture and Allegro) and SPICE/LTSPICE/PSIM for electrical circuit simulation.
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic field simulation tools, specification writing, test documentation, and development verification processes.
  • Knowledge of validation standards such as UL, CSA, IEC, IEEE, EU, and EN.
