ARQUIMEA is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to join our engineering team. You will design and validate hardware for embedded systems, from schematics and PCB layout to prototype bring-up and testing, working with firmware, mechanical and systems engineers.

The position is based at Nanotec Building, San Cristóbal de La Laguna (Tenerife) in the Canary Islands; relocation and onboarding support are available. We value curiosity, hands-on approach and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics or related engineering field.
• Proven experience in power electronics design (DC/DC, inverter, motor drive, BMS).
• Strong fundamentals in converters, switching, thermal design, protection.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer for high-power layouts.
• Experience with power electronics simulation tools (LTSPICE, PLECS, MATLAB).

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop power electronics hardware for embedded systems.
• Create schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, assembly drawings, and docs in Altium or equivalent.
• Define PCB design rules for high-power boards.
• Support selection and benchmarking of semiconductors and components.
• Plan and execute hardware testing and validation.
• Set up laboratory test benches and measurement procedures.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and systems teams.
• Maintain design documentation and traceability.
