ARQUIMEA is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to join our hardware team in Canary Islands. You will design and validate power electronics hardware for embedded systems, from schematic through prototype bring‑up, working with firmware, mechanical and systems groups.

The role emphasizes hands‑on development, testable hardware, and rigorous validation in demanding environments. A strong foundation in power electronics and the ability to learn across disciplines are essential.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in power electronics design including DC/DC, inverter/topologies, or BMS.
• Strong knowledge of converters, switching, thermal design, losses analysis and protection strategies.
• Proficiency in PCB design using Altium Designer for high‑power/mixed‑signal boards.
• Understanding PCB design constraints for power electronics: current, thermal, EMI, testability.
• Hands‑on hardware testing: define procedures, setup lab, use test equipment.
• Experience with LTSPICE, PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink for verification.
• Ability to read schematics and datasheets; willingness to learn and own tasks.
• Excellent collaboration with firmware, mechanical, systems and testing teams; strong English.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop power electronics hardware for embedded systems.
• Create schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and technical docs using Altium or equivalent.
• Define PCB design rules for high‑power boards, thermal management and manufacturability.
• Support selection, benchmarking of power semiconductors, gate drivers and passives.
• Plan and execute hardware testing, functional, electrical, thermal and EMC checks.
• Set up laboratory test benches and measurement procedures.
• Perform design verification against electrical, thermal and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams during bring‑up.
• Maintain design documentation and revision histories.
• Participate in design reviews and validation milestones.
