Hitachi Energy in Madrid, Spain, seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and program control and protection software for power converter systems within the Power Converter Solutions center. You’ll define technical requirements, test in simulation and real-time environments, and support commissioning and customer training.

Up to 3 years of experience, familiarity with Matlab/Simulink, HiDraw or CCP Builder, and English fluency are expected.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Up to 3 years of relevant experience in control systems, power electronics, or similar.
• Familiarity with Matlab Simulink, HiDraw, or Compact Control Builder.
• Willingness to travel - commissioning and On-site experience in an electrical environment is highly welcomed.
• Fluent in English.
• Strong analytical skills, proactive attitude, and ability to work collaboratively.

Responsabilidades

• Design and program control and protection software for power converter systems.
• Define technical requirements and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
• Test and validate control systems in simulation, real‑time environments, and hardware.
• Support commissioning activities and customer training—both remotely and on‑site.
• Maintain software and documentation for control and protection systems.
• Contribute to technical discussions during concept and tender phases.
• Enjoying global traveling and commissioning (At least 15% of the working time)
