Hitachi Energy in Madrid is seeking a Senior System Engineer with strong expertise in power electronics, power systems and system simulations to join our Power Converter Solutions team.

You will design converter systems, run simulations, ensure grid-code compliance and collaborate with Sales, R&D and Project Management across global sites. Travel is expected to be <10% and the role offers a dynamic international context.

Formación

• Master's degree in electrical engineering with focus on Power Systems and Power Electronics.
• Experience with power electronics and power system simulations.
• Fluent in English; German or other languages advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Design power electronic converter systems from sales to project execution, including site visits.
• Own the system engineering scope throughout project execution with cross-functional teams.
• Perform system design tasks such as simulations, performance calculations, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with standards, customer specs and grid codes.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with R&D on modeling converter systems.
• Define and evaluate on-site performance measurements.
• Contribute to development of engineering processes through knowledge sharing.
