The European Commission is seeking a full-time researcher specialized in in vivo nuclear imaging. This role involves developing independent research projects particularly in neurology, oncology, and respiratory diseases. The candidate will join a well-established team and access state-of-the-art facilities for comprehensive research activities.

Formación

Offer Description

The selected candidate will develop an independent research line, in agreement with the group leader, and focused on in vivo nuclear imaging (preferably PET) and / or the development and evaluation of radiotracers. The candidate is expected to actively contribute to ongoing projects within the group and to lead his / her own research, preferably within the fields of neurology, oncology, respiratory diseases, or other experimental models of human pathology using rodents.

This position will involve the use of a wide range of techniques, including preclinical in vivo imaging (PET, SPECT, CT, MRI), image quantification and analysis, radiochemistry, and ex vivo validation methods such as autoradiography or immunohistochemistry. The candidate will be encouraged to apply for competitive funding and to contribute to supervising students and collaborative research activities.

The group is fully established and currently consists of 1 postdoctoral researcher, 10 PhD students, 2 entrepreneurial researchers and 2 technicians. The selected candidate will have access to state-of-the-art radiochemistry and imaging facilities including a cyclotron, radiochemistry laboratories, and preclinical PET-SPECT-CT and high-field MRI systems, as well as a generous budget for consumables and collaboration opportunities.
