Job Description

CIC energiGUNE is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work on understanding and improving interphases for sodium batteries and capacitors in the framework of an individual MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship.

Job Functions

  • Probe the stability and integrity of solid electrolyte interphases in Na-based systems with conventional and non-conventional electrolytes and additives under different electrochemical routines.
  • Conduct chemical and morphological analysis of electrode interphase using surface analysis techniques.
  • Characterize materials and interphases by complementary physicochemical characterization methods whenever appropriate.
  • Analyze and generalize characterization results, give conclusions, and provide ideas to improve interphases.
  • Disseminate project results through high-impact publications.

Area: Electrochemical energy storage (EES)

Research Group: Organic&Hybrid Materials

What We Offer

  • We are offering a 3-year contract and advantageous professional development opportunities with the possibility of renewal based on satisfactory job performance, continuing availability of funds, and ongoing operational needs. The contract will be linked to the award of the MSCA grant.
  • Full access to cutting-edge laboratory facilities and characterization platforms.
  • The incorporation to a top research center in Europe that makes high quality research and impactful contributions to the energy and sustainability fields.
  • Professional and personal development: opportunity to attend seminars, international conferences, trainings, etc.
  • Integrated, enthusiastic, international and multidisciplinary environment.

Life-balance Benefits

  • Flexible working hours promoting work-life balance and self-organization.
