The Arranz Lab – Laboratory of Humanized Models of Disease at Achucarro Basque Center for Neuroscience (Spain) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join hASTROCURE, a project funded by the European Research Council (ref ERC-2024-COG-01171591). Our lab focuses on understanding the complex role of human astrocytes in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Using cutting-edge stem cell technologies, humanized in vitro models, and chimeric mice, our research aims to dissect how human astrocytes contribute to AD onset and progression. We are part of a vibrant neuroscience community and collaborate closely with national and international partners.
Position Overview: The successful candidate will focus on understanding the reactive states of human astrocytes, and how they contribute to AD, using humanized in vitro models and chimeric AD mice. The candidate will work closely with experts in bioinformatics & spatial omics. It is a full-time position, starting the 1st January 2026.
