Descripción del empleo

The research group “Epidemiology of Mental Health Disorders and Ageing” led by Dr. Josep Maria Haro is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work in the Epidemiology of Youth Mental Health research line, alongside Dr. Rodrigo Antunes Lima.

Position Details

We offer a 12-month contract, with the possibility of renewal. The primary responsibility of this postdoctoral position is to support two EU-funded projects:

  1. IMPROVA: The e-Intervention Enhancing Mental Health in Adolescents project (https://www.improva-project.eu/) aims to co-design, pilot, evaluate, and scale a modular eHealth intervention platform to improve adolescent mental health and wellbeing, detect issues early, and prevent common mental health problems. The platform will be implemented in schools across France, Germany, Romania, and Spain, involving 8,000 adolescents, and will include components for adolescents, parents, teachers, and school staff. The project involves a multidisciplinary team and will include a cluster randomized controlled trial and comprehensive evaluations.
  2. ePro-Schools: This project focuses on co-designing, piloting, and evaluating an evidence-based modular platform to promote physical activity, healthy eating, and reduce sedentary behaviors among adolescents. It involves a thorough co-creation process with stakeholders, implementation outside school settings, and a randomized controlled trial in socially disadvantaged schools, aiming to develop scalable practices and guidelines for policymakers.

Both projects aim to develop scalable, evidence-based interventions to improve adolescent health and wellbeing, involving extensive stakeholder engagement and rigorous evaluation methodologies.
